Flocculation monitoring using the iFloc system

 

The AQUACHEM mud measuring device 'iFloc' is used for monitoring the flocculant dosing. This ensures that the correct quantity of flocculant is always dosed.

The iFloc determines in short and regular intervals several relevant parameters such as:

• density
• mud volume
• settling speed of the flakes

Furthermore, the iFloc can be linked to the overall system via the PLC so that the addition of flocculant can be automated. This not only increases process reliability, but also flocculant savings of up to 50 per cent.
